5th Blackpool Scout Group has been established in this area since 1937 and has resided in this building from the early 1960s.
The Scout HQ was formerly a sports pavilion for neighbouring schools, the building has evolved through continual modification as Scouting here developed throughout the latter part of the twentieth century.
On September the 9th 1998 our group executive committee embarked on an undertaking to transform this building into a modern facility which would secure the continuation of scouting from this site.
On the 28th October 2001 this was completed.
